Online privacy and technology
Online sessions are recorded.
An online notarization uses a third-party platform, identity proofing, credential analysis, and live two-way audio-video communication. Texas law requires the online session to be recorded and the electronic notarial record, including the audio-video recording, to be retained for five years. Certain information in notarial records is public information under Texas law.
BlueNotary’s availability, technical requirements, identity-verification procedures, privacy practices, and supported documents also apply. Platform access, identity verification, document eligibility, and recipient acceptance cannot be guaranteed.
Protect your information: Do not put Social Security numbers, complete identification numbers, financial-account numbers, medical details, or document copies in the appointment form. Provide only a general document description.
